Every year, some 4.7 million people die from stroke worldwide. In order to help alleviate the severity of strokes and enhance recovery from stroke, developing new drug therapies is crucial. Clinical trials are an elemental part of the process of bringing new drugs and medical devices for patient use.

The Nordic Stroke Society Congress, a 3-day event held in Kuopio, Finland, delves deeper into this vital topic. The ‘Clinical Trial Workshop – How to match supply with demand’ will be held on 21 August 2023 and focus on topics related to clinical trials and stroke.

In the congress, Medfiles’ Essi Sarkkinen will give an introduction to the new EU Clinical Trial Portal CTIS. With dedicated investigators, CROs and cooperation between pharma companies, we can continue to develop drug therapies aimed at securing a healthier tomorrow.
